The oppressive heat of summer is fading, and suddenly we feel the space around us. Suddenly we have the time and energy to think again – free to enter into the swirling oranges and browns of autumn in search of fresh perspective.
As nature cycles into a new era of transition, and it’s a good time to sit with ourselves, to meditate on what we’ve learned about ourselves this year, and what we might still change before we head into the cold winter months. And our experimental showcase of short films is just the place to catch your breath – and take stock of the world around us.
That’s just one week away now!
On the Saturday 12th of September, at 17:00, we will present our annual Experimental Showcase at a physical screening for the first time! Taking place at Amsterdam’s Supermercator venue, our seventh annual event celebration of abstract and avant-garde cinema will feature 10 independent shorts – with filmmakers participating in a panel discussion at the end of the night.
Tickets for the programme of seasonal shockers are selling fast – but there is still time to book your seat for all of the events. You can seal your place via the Indy Film Library tickets page, where there is also a breakdown of the event and its films.
You can also find a full programme of the films and run-times via the Indy Film Library’s Events section.
