Tube Rats – Episode 58: Jimmy: A 21st Century Portrait

It’s that time in the four year cycle when the World Cup of Evil returns to our screens. And to celebrate the feast of fascism football taking place in the United States, the Tube Rats are back with a special low-effort episode. Inspired by the low-intensity pressing and water/ad-break disrupted play of the tournament, Jimmy, Charlie and Jack decide to create their own Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait.

Join them in real-time, as they watch England’s full 100+ minute match against Croatia, with no cuts, no edits, no effort. As they pass through the bowels of the match, talk occasionally becomes existential, life-affirming philosophy – but more often drifts into aimless small-talk aimed at distracting from the passage of time that drags them inexorably toward The Void.

Tube Rats is a short-film podcast, where a critic, a comedian Jimmy, and a professional goth sift through YouTube to bring you some free hidden gems.
