The Indie Media Maverick Awards, organised by the new organisation Independent Communications Network (ICN) and supported by Impress, have been created to recognise and reward outstanding independent media across all formats — print, audio, video, and digital.
It’s a chance to spotlight the creativity, courage, and innovation in independent media — and to help engage audiences with the vibrancy and value of the sector. We would love to highlight the importance of what we do as part of that space.
Not only does Indy Film Library work to highlight the work of independent filmmakers, and provide crucial feedback to new artists looking to improve their work. We also write to contextualise film and television; within the wider ideological and political themes that culture often rises as a response to, or defence of.

The awards are open to creators and organisations everywhere, with entries welcomed in any language (English subtitles required for non-English work).
