Submissions open for IFL 2026/27 season

  • Submissions open for 2026/27 season of Indy Film Library’s annual contest
  • Early bird submissions at lower rate until the end of April

Tickets are still on sale for the annual Indy Film Library (IFL) event in Amsterdam. Our selection from the submissions of the last year are set to screen at a stellar showcase across two days, at Filmhuis Cavia and Supermercator.

If you would like the chance to join this global cast of exciting artists, now is your chance. Our call for submissions for our 2027 event is now open at FilmFreeway.

During the next 12 months time, we will also celebrate experimentalstudenthorror short films from around the world via three micro-festivals at the end of the year.

As always, as well as the opportunity to be selected in our events, we also promise an impartial review of every film to be published on the IFL website. Unlike other festivals, that means that even if you don’t make it into the selection, we will supply extensive feedback on how you can improve your work for other festivals and future projects.

Until the end of April 2026, submissions are charged at a lower early bird rate. To make the most of that, you should send your work as soon as possible.

Full details on how you can send your films to IFL can be found on our website.

For regular updates on all this, plus reviews, interviews, commentary and news from IFL, follow the platform on FacebookInstagram, Twitter, and Spotify.
